Kanjo Nights: Orlando

If you've ever been to Dezerland Park in Orlando, Florida, you'd come to learn that it's more than just an amusement center with games, go-karts, mini-golf, and a slew of other family-friendly entertainment options; it's a hot spot for car meets. Timeless Expo was behind a recent get-together for automotive enthusiasts titled "Kanjo Nights", a JDM-themed event that brought some serious heat, so let's jump right into the amazing metal on display.

The Lexus LC500 is already known for its concept car looks, which makes turning it up a notch almost unfeasible...well, not for BankruptLex. This particular LC is finished in White Nova and sits on Air Ride suspension with a set of E6 VR7 multipiece wheels that complete the optical illusion of having the chassis touch the ground. This is an example of "stance" done right, a luxury grand tourer with intricately designed wheels that adds a layer of aggression by bringing the entire car closer to the floor.

This black Lexus RC wasn't too far behind in grabbing the attention of all of those in attendance. Slammed on a dope set of mismatched wheels (mesh-style front, tri-spoke rear), this RC rides on air, uses ground effects to get even lower, and has a menacing look that goes fast even when sitting absolutely still.

The theme of rides slammed on air continues with Jordan's SW20 Toyota MR2. Featuring a set of over-fenders with SSR Formula Aero wheels tucked at each corner, this yellow mid-ship runabout enjoys style in motion and at a standstill. The SW20 chassis is infinitely versatile; it can be used as a cruiser, track car, show car, or daily driver. This is a mid-rear engine vehicle for the masses.

Part of this amazing lineup of JDM cars is a last-generation Toyota Carina finished in a creamsicle pearl paint job that hits different. The T210 Toyota Carina was only offered overseas, but it was a chassis that could be had with a variety of engines, most notably a blacktop 20V 4AGE and a 3SGE attached to an AWD system. The GT featured here has the high-revving 4AGE that produces roughly 165 HP, it's a great alternative to the more sought after Corollas/Sprinters of the same generation; this is the anti-sleeper.
